What Are You Building? Laying the Right Foundation for Your Life

Hey Family,

I’ve got one question for you today—what are you building?

Are you laying a foundation that will stand the test of time, or are you stacking bricks without purpose? When life’s storms come (because they will come), will your foundation hold, or will it crumble?

Noah’s Blueprint for a Strong Foundation

In Genesis, we see how God chose Noah for redemption. The world had fallen into wickedness, yet Noah remained faithful. Because of his obedience, God covered him—shielding him and his family in the ark from destruction.

But let’s dig deeper. This wasn’t just about protection; it was about purpose. Even in judgment, God makes a way for those who trust Him.

  1. God is a God of Conversion – Transformation is a requirement. Noah’s story wasn’t just about survival; it was about a fresh start, a turning away from wickedness, and stepping into something new.

  2. God is a Covenant-Keeping God – After the flood, God promised never to destroy the earth by water again, sealing it with a rainbow. That same faithful God is still making promises today.

  3. God Requires Confession – This one hits home. Too often, we hide, like Adam in the Garden, covering up our mistakes instead of laying them before God. But confession isn’t about shame—it’s about freedom.

The Hard Question: What Are You Building?

Are you building on a foundation of faith, obedience, and trust? Or is your foundation filled with pride, fear, insecurity, or the need for approval?

When life gets hard, when the weight of responsibilities, relationships, and setbacks feel overwhelming—what holds you up? If the answer isn’t God, then it’s time to reset.

Time to Reset and Rebuild

Here’s the challenge:

  • Take a moment to reflect.

  • Be honest with yourself and with God.

  • Confess what’s holding you back.

  • Rebuild your foundation with faith, prayer, and intentionality.

We don’t just want to build—we want to build on purpose, with purpose.

Faith in Action: This Week’s Challenge

🛠️ Practical Application – The Confession Reset

This week, I challenge you to take 10 minutes to go through these four steps:

1️⃣ Write It Down – Spend time in prayer, asking God to reveal what you need to let go of. Write it down.
2️⃣ Release & Repent – Speak it out loud to God. Ask for forgiveness and strength to change.
3️⃣ Receive Grace – Tear up or destroy what you wrote as a symbol of God’s forgiveness (Micah 7:19).
4️⃣ Recommit – Write down a scripture that reminds you of God's grace and new beginnings (2 Corinthians 5:17).

One of the biggest struggles in faith is trying to be who we think we should be instead of who God created us to be. But when we surrender, when we confess, when we allow God to rebuild us—that’s when transformation happens.

Final Word: Let’s Build Right!

Family, this isn’t just another week. This is an opportunity to build with intention. Let’s stop laying foundations on sand and start building on solid rock.

Take some time today to reset. Confess. Surrender. Let God do the construction.

Let’s build on purpose!

Blessings,
Coach G
